What we collect

When you register interest, we collect your name, email address, age, city, gender, who you are attracted to, whether you would attend individually or with a partner, the areas of Drùis that interest you, your photograph and anything you choose to write.

We may also receive limited technical and security information when you use the website, such as request logs needed to keep the service secure.

Why we use it

We use this information to manage the private interest list, understand and shape the founding community, review potential fit, contact you about launch activity, and protect the safety and integrity of Drùis.

If you sign in to the Drùis app using the same verified email, we link your registration reference and review stage to your private account. We do not transfer your answers or photograph into the app. Being shortlisted does not automatically grant membership or access to connections and chats.

Our UK GDPR lawful basis for the interest list and launch communications is your consent. Information about attraction may reveal sexual orientation and is treated as special-category data; we process it on the basis of your explicit consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time.

Photographs and decisions

Your photograph is visible only to authorised members of the host team. It is not attached to notification emails, used for facial recognition, published, or shown to other applicants.

Applications are reviewed by people. We do not make solely automated membership or access decisions.

Who handles the information

We use carefully selected providers for website hosting, private file storage and email delivery. They process information only to provide those services. We do not sell your information or share it with other members.

Cloudflare Turnstile helps us distinguish genuine visitors from automated submissions. It may process limited device, browser and network information for this security purpose.

Some providers may process information outside the UK. Where this happens, we require an appropriate legal safeguard for the transfer.

Who is responsible

Drùis is operated by Gareth Cash, trading as Drùis, who is the controller of the personal information collected through this website.

How long we keep it

Active interest-list information is kept for no longer than 12 months unless you join the community, renew your interest or a longer period is legally necessary. If you withdraw, or we decide not to progress your interest, we aim to delete the registration and photograph within 30 days, subject to any information we must retain for legal or safety reasons.

Your choices and rights

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete your information, restrict or object to its use, or withdraw your consent. Contact membership@druis.club. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.

You may also complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.

Changes

We will update this notice as Drùis develops. If a change materially affects how we use existing information, we will tell the people affected before making that change.
